I’m thinking the Newsletter pop up is fixed, so while I may (or may not) have your attention, I wouldn’t mind trying my hand at putting together a bit of a Newsletter myself. If only to perhaps garner a bit of interest, not only this site, but in these old trucks and the members that own them, work on them and enjoy them, I’d give it a try.

I tried for many years to get in touch with Bill Yoder, but never had very much luck. I was interested in purchasing the site myself, but that fell by the wayside. There was so much activity and information on the old site that it was a great place to talk about our trucks, ask for help and suggest fixes for each other.
So here we are, I’m still…[Read more] -

Need to find out if any other door will fit my 1935 T,mine has the wood re-enforcement and want to swap out for steel re-enforcement…
My doors are in great shape, but want the steel instead…
-
Stay true to the original I always say.
Replace the wood. It will keep the integrity and the value up.

Have a 1938 80 D. Had to replace 1/3 of lower half of Driver and Passenger door skins. When door skin is removed then it is easy to fabricate replacement metal frame for wood frame. Unless you are skilled at metal fabrication and welding, you should stay with the wood.

Welcome Trent,
Glad you have an interest in Diamond T trucks! They were the Cadillac of trucks of their time! I have a ’47 509 and joined this site to gather and share information with other enthusiasts. If there are any trucks for sale here, you’d have to look in the classifieds section. Other than that, keep an eye on the internet as they do come up for sale from time to time.

I’d have to research it Dylan, but I think it’s a bit bigger. The fenders on the 509 seem to be a lot wide than those on the smaller trucks.

Dylan Young replied to the topic Diamond T Metal Fabrication in the forum Looking for parts 8 years, 7 months ago
Are you referring to that sheet metal piece that goes underneath the grille between the fenders? If so, yes I am looking into starting to stamp those on a basis of demand. Is there any physical difference between the one for the 201/306 and the 509?

Bill Fisher replied to the topic Diamond T Metal Fabrication in the forum Looking for parts 8 years, 7 months ago
Hello Dylan, missed your post! Are you thinking of including the 509 for the front apron piece? A lot of 509 owners out there and that seems to be a piece that gets smacked up the most.
