Mud flaps for Diamond T Trucks

have been working on a 1946 509S for about a year. I got it running the first Iday I bought it so I will probably never restore it fully because it is too much fun to drive around! Instead, it is a work-in-progress that I can drive around town with my wife and kids and look a little goofy. I built a stake bed for it and haul old 1940’s tractors and just have fun. I looked around for mud flap... »

My Dad worked for D-T in Chicago

My Dad worked for D-T in Chicago in the late 30’s and was transferred to Kansas City, MO. in 1937. We went back to Chicago in 1946 and he retired there from the factory in 1956 as I remember. Some of my best memories were sitting on his lap steering the Diamond T pickup truck he used on weekends in Kansas City at the dealership sometime around 1941. He worked at the Dealership as parts manag... »

Neal,Al and Dave’s Restoration Project

Al found out about the 1937 Model 80 pickup from his boss. After a little negotiating purchased it, borrowed a trailer a trailer and retrieved it from a farm in Northern Minnesota. The Diamond T sat on the trailer for almost a year while we finished restoring a 1930 Model A Ford Coupe. The project is being done in my garage in Minnetonka, Minnesota, a Western suburb of Minneapolis. We started last... »

Stewart’s 1949 Diamond T

I’ve been told my truck was originally a fire truck in South Lake Tahoe CA; their first “professional” fire truck ever. Originally delivered with a standard pickup body, which was removed and a “kit” fire truck body or similar was installed. There was probably some sort of pump as there were a couple of cut-outs on the original dash which must have been for pump press... »

1906 Diamond T roadster ( PHOTO’S IN GALLERIES)

I have limited experience with Diamond T trucks, but I do have photos of an actual Diamond T roadster of about 1906 vintage that I took personally in 1952 when I looked to buy the car. I did not buy it then, but have been trying to trace the location of it now. The past two years I have interviewed eight people who had contact with the car as late as 1972 when it was sold, but no one knows who bou... »
